ANF Installing New Culvert at Wolf Run Bridge

Allegheny National Forest Visitors BureauBRADFORD, PA – August 3, 2016 – The Allegheny National Forest will be installing a large culvert at the Wolf Run Bridge, located on National Forest Road 152. The work is expected to begin on August 4, 2016 and will last about two weeks – depending on the weather. During this time, the road will be closed. However Wolf Run will still be accessible from the south at Russell City and the north from either James City or Jo Jo Road.

Wolf Run is a high quality cold water fishery, important to native eastern brook trout. The new culvert will improve the connection of the lower watershed to the headwater streams and will also reduce sediment from entering the stream.
