ANF Planning Prescribed Burn at Rocky Gap ATV Trail

Allegheny National Forest Visitors BureauBRADFORD, PA – April 21, 2017 – The Allegheny National Forest is planning a prescribed burn at the Rocky Gap ATV trail (FSR 524) on either April 24 or 25 – depending on weather and conditions on the ground. The goal of this 54-acre burn is to enhance the establishment of oak seedlings.

Fire Management Officer Pete To said the area will be closed when the fire crews are burning. He also warned that there may be some smoke in the area when the burning is taking place.
