BRADFORD, PA – May 1, 2017 – The Allegheny National Forest’s Marienville Ranger District has received two special use permit requests which are under review. One is for the construction, maintenance, and use of an access road on National Forest System lands in Millstone Township, Elk County. The other is for the construction, maintenance and use of a 16-inch diameter steel natural gas pipeline on National Forest System lands in Jones Township, Elk County.
The Marienville Ranger District is seeking comments on these two projects. Comments should be submitted by May 26, 2017, however any comments received after this date will be considered to the extent that time allows. Comments, including names and addresses of those who submitted them, will be considered part of the public record and will be available for public inspection.
