Allegheny National Forest Visitors BureauBRADFORD, PA – June 1, 2016 – The Allegheny National Forest is celebrating National Get Outdoors day by hosting an outdoor adventure day at Beaver Meadows Recreation Area on the Marienville Ranger District. ANF staff will be available from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. to lead a variety of activities including: kayaking (a limited number of kayaks and canoes will be available); hiking; campfire building; bird watching and other activities.

Beaver Meadows Recreation Area is located on Forest Road 282, four miles north of Marienville on North Forest Street. “Beaver Meadows offers a unique kayaking experience, several hiking trails and a great picnic area,” said District Ranger Rob Fallon. “This is a great opportunity for everyone to come out and enjoy their national forest.”
