Case Honors Collectors Club Members with Exclusive Event

Case & Sons Cutlery Company – an American manufacturer of premium, hand-crafted knives since 1889 – will commemorate the 35th anniversary of the Case Collectors Club® (CCC®) with events in Bradford, Pennsylvania. The CCC is a premier association for avid Case fans, rewarding consumers with exclusive knife offers and other membership benefits.

The celebration will officially kick off on Friday, July 22. During the day, CCC members will have the opportunity to tour the Case factory for the first time since the facility’s upgrades and a reconfigured layout were completed. Tours will be offered from 8:00 am – 2:00 pm. Following the tour, there will be a Q&A panel with Case employees along with remarks from Zippo and Case CEO, Mark Paup.

Case will host the Grand Collectors Dinner Auction on Friday evening. Pre-registered guests are invited to bid on a variety of unique items and one-of-a-kind knives. Case will begin accepting bids from CCC members on 12 silent auction items at 4:30 pm. The live auction, hosted by International and Texas State Champion Auctioneer, Renee Jones, will begin at 7:00 pm and feature 12 additional items. The live auction is open to the public.

On Saturday, July 23, the Zippo/Case museum, located at 1932 Zippo Drive, will host a variety of activities for all ages. The Collector Knife Swap Meet will take place from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm, with 100 tables of knives expected to be filled for members to buy and sell while giving Club members a chance to meet fellow collectors. Family-friendly activities are scheduled throughout the day, including a Bubba Gum blowing contest, apple peeling competition and Case trivia challenge.

Case celebrities and employees will be available to answer questions about knives and the history of the Case brand. Renowned custom knife maker, Tony Bose, will offer fans a demonstration of some of the finer points of his craft. Tom Wolfe, professional wood carver and accomplished author on the subject, will be on hand to teach attendees how to whittle. Other special guests include a local artist who specializes in knife paintings, a professional knife sharpener and an appraiser of vintage Case knives.

Registered Junior Club members can learn about how knives are made in the educational Case Junior Academy. Special edition Case trading cards and Case-branded lapel pins will also be available for attendees and Case employees to collect and swap.

Food vendors will be onsite from 8 am – 4 pm, and parking at the Zippo/Case Museum is free.
