McCleery Wolf Center at the Historic Kane Depot – Kane, PA

The Kane Depot, 1 South Fraley Street, in Kane, Pennsylvania is the home of the McCleery Discovery Center and the Kane Historic Preservation Society, a group of volunteers who are dedicated to preserving the heritage of Kane.
 
The Kane Depot, is also home to the Kane Historic Preservation Society, a group of volunteers who are dedicated to preserving the heritage of Kane. The Historic Depot is estimated to have been built in 1871. Most of the original exterior is intact and much of the interior also remains in near-original condition.
 
The McCleery Wolf Center showcases the fascinating story of the Lobo Wolf and how Dr. Edward H. McCleery, a physician in Kane, helped to save this sub-species from extinction. Visitors can view the Lobo Wolf display, which includes original letters dating back to the early 1920s, photos, wolf skulls, wolf pelts, and videos plus Tanya – a life size Lobo wolf mount.
