The Portville Historical and Preservation Society, located at 17 Maple Avenue in Portville, New York, is a non-profit organization with the mission to promote awareness and pride in the Portville community’s heritage and preserve it for generations to come.

The Portville Historical and Preservation Society collects, preserves, and exhibits materials pertinent to the social and cultural development of the Town and Village of Portville, New York, and surrounding areas.

The Society sponsors programs of historical relevance, maintains an office for research assistance and displays, and produces original publications. Their goal is to assist others in the understanding of the customs, traditions, attitudes, and lifestyles that shaped this rural community from 1800 to the present.
