Honors Songwriter Born and Raised in SalamancaThe Ray Evans Seneca Theater, located on 10 Main Street in Salamanca, New York, is a live stage theater, two miles from the Seneca Allegheny Casino. This theater features a full stage with state of the art lighting and sound, and accommodates up to 450 guests.
The theater was originally called the Seneca Theater and was built by the Schine Chain. Construction was started in 1941 but wasn’t finished until the end of WWII. The theater was renamed after Ray Evans, a songwriter who was born and raised in Salamanca. Some of Ray Evans’ songs include “Tammy”, “Silver Bells” and “Que Sera Sera.”The Ray Evans Theater is partnered with Enchante Cabaret, a professional performing arts company that tours throughout the Northeast and Midwest Regions of the United States – hailed as “The Best Cabaret Show in the Northeast”.
