BRADFORD, PA – May 23, 2016 – The Bureau of Forestry, Sproul State Forest District Forester Douglas D’Amore is announcing the opening of the Whiskey Springs and Bloody Skillet All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) Trails in Clinton and Centre Counties as of May 27, 2016.
The Sproul State Forest District would like to thank the members of the Snow Shoe Rails to Trails Association, Central Mountain ATV Association and the Lehigh Valley ATV Association who volunteered their time and effort to open and clear trails and remove litter from the ATV trails in preparation for the Memorial Day Weekend.
There are new maps for each of the ATV trails, which are available from the District Office or on the DCNR website. Older versions of the trail maps are no longer accurate, as the trail marking numbers have changed.
The Bloody Skillet and Whiskey Springs ATV trails will be open until the last Sunday in September 2016, at which time these trails will close for the hunting seasons.
Should anyone have any questions or require any additional information, please contact the Sproul State Forest District Office at 15187 Renovo Road, Renovo, PA 17764. Telephone 570-923-6011.
