Biggest Winter Event in the PA WildsThe Warren County Winterfest is held annually in January at Chapman State Park on 4790 Chapman Dam Road in Clarendon, Pennsylvania. It is the biggest winter event in the PA Wilds and is the perfect opportunity for the whole family to chase away the winter blues.
Experience the thrill of sled dog races as mushers drive their four legged friends to ever greater speeds. Watch as a surprising big number of brave souls jump into the icy depth of the lake during the Polar Bear Plunge.Kids will enjoy the sledding hill, Outhouse race, and the card board box derby. Other activities include geocaching and an ice fishing derby. Take your friend cross-country skiing or snow shoeing, or maybe head out on the ice for some fun on skates. Or maybe try snow sculpting. Be a spectator or join in the fun!
If you feel frosty you can simply get warm in the event tent where you can browse the vendor booths that are stocked with crafts and commercial displays. Treat yourself to some soup, sandwiches, donuts, kettle corn, cotton candy and beverages.
