Statewide Winter Predator Hunt Slated for February

January 2, 2021 – The Rolfe Beagle Club announces that this year’s statewide coyote and fox hunt or trap will take place on two weekends in February.  Jim Pennington, President, states “Many hunting seasons have wound down, and we wanted to give our hunters as much opportunity as possible to enjoy predator hunting in PA.  Enter at the Rolfe Beagle Club’s statewide hunt and also take advantage of the other local hunts at the same time.”

The first weekend of Rolfe Beagle Club’s statewide predator hunt starts at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, 2/12, and runs thru Sunday, 2/14, at 4:00 p.m.  The second weekend of the hunt starts at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, 2/19, and runs thru Sunday, 2/21, at 4:00 p.m.  Hunters and trappers can enter both weekends for one low price.

All harvested predators will be weighed in at 4:00 p.m. on all six days.  Every harvested predator will receive an equal amount of the entry fees.  The lone exception is that the largest coyote and fox will receive an additional 10%.  100% of the largest female registration fees will go to the lucky hunter with the heaviest female coyote or fox that registered in those categories.  The deadline for registration is Thursday, 2/11.

The Rolfe Beagle Club is located at 1016 Long Level Road, Johnsonburg, PA 15845 for hunters mailing in their registration, or you can drop off your registration at the clubhouse on any Sunday morning.
