Costanzo Brings First Predator into Rolfe Beagle Club’s Statewide Coyote and Crow Hunt

Johnsonburg, Pa.:  Paul Costanzo of Ridgway brought in the first coyote harvested for Rolfe Beagle Club’s Statewide, 10-Day, Coyote and Crow Hunt.  “The fun has now begun,” said Jim Pennington, Jr., President of the club.

Paul harvested his large, 33.4#, male coyote at 5:20 a.m. Wednesday on private lands in Ridgway Township, Elk County.  Paul is known as a predator hunter here in northern PA.  Paul shoots a .223 rifle and uses a thermal scope.  Paul alternates between both an electronic call and a mouth call.  “Two coyotes came in, and I was able to harvest this large male coyote,” said Paul.  “I assume the other coyote was the female,” added Paul.

Weigh-in is at 6:00 p.m. every day over the ten days of the Rolfe Beagle Club hunt, thru 9/9.
