Baily's Beads Magazine Celebration
Join the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford for the unveiling of the 2019 edition of Baily's Beads Magazine, while enjoying excerpts from the peice during open mic performances. This unveiling and open mic is free to attend and open to all.

Baily's Beads is our award-winning literary magazine. The magazine includes work from faculty, staff, students and members of the community who contribute poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, plays and translations; as well as photos, paintings and drawings.

41st Annual Tony Dolan Ski for Cancer, Westline
This community event is the longest running American Cancer Society event in the state of Pennsylvania where participants can ski, hike, or use snowshoes on the Kinzua Valley Trail - which is about 4.5 miles long and is located adjacent to the Westline Inn. Any person can participate, as an individual or as part of a team.

Nature's Orchestra, Elk Country Visitor Center
The first this people think of when they think of nature is usually how beautiful it is; yet, there are other magnificent ways to experience nature, especially through sound. Nature is made up of many different sound makers and create an incredible orchestra. Join Haley, the Elk Country Visitor Center's Conservation Education Specialist and sound expert having worked for the Natural Sounds and Night Skies Division of the National Park Service, in learning about the importance of natural sounds, how wildlife depend on them for communication, and how to pick out different sound layers in nature!

Pianist Benjamin Laude, Pitt-Bradford Arts
Benjamin Laude will be performing a selection of works by the famed composer, Ludwig van Beethoven, in honor of his 250th birthday. An active soloist and sought-after chamber musician, Laude is a pianist of international standing. Tickets for this performance are $20 for the public and $5 for UPB students.
