Beginner Fly-Fishing School, Olmsted Manor Retreat Center
This retreat is designed for aspiring fly fishers, as well as veteran fly-fishers that have never taken a formal course. This three-day course reveals the all secrets of fly fishing, from setting up your equipment, tying knots, identifying aquatic insects, determining where fish lay in a stream, and selecting a fly, casting and fishing it in a way that leads to success. Beginning at 3:30pm on Friday and ending on Sunday at 5 pm.

People will stroll in the in-park road, enjoying hundreds of illuminated carved pumpkins, many scarecrows, picture spots, some food, and games!

Mysteries of the Night at Eshelman in Portville, NY
Join the Pfeiffer Nature Center for a star lit stroll around the Eshelman property as they listen for our night time neighbors and learn about their nocturnal habits and habitats. Following the walk, there will be a spooktacular campfire with s'mores and ghost stories shared by master storyteller Jim Piatt. Please dress for evening temperatures, wear comfortable footwear, bring a flashlight and a camp chair.
