Story Book Trail at Lillibridge, Portville, NY

Share in the beauty and fun of the Holidays at the Lillibridge Property where we have created a Story Book Reading Trail for the young people in your life or for those of you with a “Young at Heart” Christmas Spirit.

Begin your storybook adventure on the Interpretive Trail ( Griffin’s Way– an easy, .36 mi round trip trail) and read along to the Bear Stays Up for Christmas story as you wander through our old-growth hemlock forest.  The storybook pages are held in place by our gentle giants for you to read as you pass by.  Be sure to read both sides of the tree!  See our map at the Lillibridge kiosk to find where your adventure with Bear and his Woodland Friends, begins. The Lillibridge Property is located at 1974 Lillibridge Road, Portville, NY.  We would love for you to share pictures and let us know how you enjoyed your visit by emailing naturalist@pfeiffernaturecenter.org  Enjoy the wonderful outdoors! Holocaust Remembrance Day, Eldred
Eldred WW II Museum is hosting a virtual event for International Holocaust Remembrance Day on Wed. Jan. 27, 2021, at 1 PM for adults. This live virtual presentation will feature Menachem Etkin from Israel, Steve Appleby from the museum, with Emily Putzke/ Author/Blogger hosting. Menachem will be sharing the story of his father, Michael Etkin, who became a partisan during the war and was the only member of his family to survive the Holocaust.
