Sense the Night at Hearts Content
The Allegheny National Forest is hosting an after hours interpretive hiking experience in the Forest. All ages are invited to participate in a Forest Ranger-led hike. During the hike participants will explore how to use their senses at night, even their vision.
It is recommended that hikers wear appropriate hiking shoes and clothing. Prepare to be wet and/or dirty depending on the weather.
Limited red-lens flash lights will be available, however, it is recommended that participants bring their own.
Hikers are to meet at the Interpretive Trailhead at Hearts Content National Scenic Area off of Hearts Content Road no later than 8:20 p.m. Plan on being on the hike for approximately an hour.
For questions about the Sense of the Night hike, call the Bradford Ranger District Office at 814-323-6000 and ask for Ms. Lauren Bartl.
