Join KECA staff and volunteers for night sky viewing and after dark wildlife sounds. We will also be making and enjoying fireside smores! This will be a fun event for all ages.

Join guest speaker Brian Budjanec as he teaches about a variety of wild edibles in our surrounding woods! He will discuss how we can make teas, spreads and other tasty treats and will have some for guests to sample! After we will walk the grounds at the ECVC and see what kind of edibles can be found there.

Join the Pfeiffer Nature Center for a star lit stroll around the Eshelman property as they listen for our night time neighbors and learn about their nocturnal habits and habitats. Following the walk, there will be a spooktacular campfire with s'mores and ghost stories shared by master storyteller Jim Piatt. Please dress for evening temperatures, wear comfortable footwear, bring a flashlight and a camp chair. This event is free for members, $5 for non-members and free for children 13 and under - minors must be accompanied by an adult.
