The 11th Woods Walk benefits Pfeiffer Nature Center by providing needed funds for trail maintenance of our two properties: the Lillibridge and Eshelman Properties, as well as preservation of the historic American Chestnut log cabin, educational activities for children and the community, upkeep of a public-use pavilion, and further development of trails to accommodate hiking and snowshoeing.

Valkyrie Presentation: A Failed Attempt to Assassinate Hitler
Steve Appleby will present Valkyrie; the July 20 Plot is carried out by Col. Claus von Stauffenberg in a failed attempt to assassinate Hitler. Hitler was visiting headquarters at Rastenburg, East Prussia. Reprisals follow against the plotters and their families and even include Field Marshall Rommel.
