Activities and Competitions – Biggest Winter Event in the PA Wilds
The Warren County Winterfest is held annually in January at Chapman State Park on 4790 Chapman Dam Road in Clarendon, Pennsylvania. Hailed as the biggest winter event in the Pennsylvania Wilds and a perfect opportunity for the whole family to chase away the winter blues.
Watch the excitement of the Polar Bear Plunge and Sled Dog Races. Other events include a sledding hill, outhouse race, ice fishing derby, geocaching and the cardboard box derby. Winterfest also offers opportunities to cross-country ski, snowshoe, ice skate or snow sculpting. Be a spectator or join in on the Winter-time fun and recreation!
If you feel frosty, simply step into the event tent to get warm; where you can also browse the multitude of vendor booths that are stocked with crafts and commercial displays. Treat yourself to some soup, sandwiches, donuts, kettle corn, cotton candy and beverages.
