Leadership McKean in Bradford, PA, develops informed and involved community leaders through a comprehensive, county-wide personal and professional enrichment program.
Conceived in 2004, Leadership McKean is an 8-month core program that meets one Friday a month. The program aims to strengthen McKean County’s civic capacity and economic growth by developing participants’ leadership skills. Goals include enhancing leadership abilities, recognizing and cultivating leadership skills. Goals include enhancing leadership abilities, recognizing and cultivating leadership potential, expanding professional networks, and increasing awareness of local opportunities and challenges.
Participants of this program will need to live and/or work in McKean County, and the selection committee will ensure that each class represents the diverse geographic areas, ages, professions, abilities, income levels, and ethnic groups within McKean County. Rising Leaders of McKean County (RISE) is a committee under Leadership McKean. RISE offers social events, professional development events, and volunteer opportunities to promote and enhance the vitality of McKean County by creating a strong culture for young professionals.
