The Portville Historical and Preservation Society, located at 1301 Portville-Obi Road in Portville, New York, is a non-profit organization. Their mission is to promote awareness and pride in the Portville community’s heritage and preserve it for generations to come.
 
The Portville Historical and Preservation Society aims to collect, preserve, and exhibit historic materials related to the social and cultural development of the Town and Village of Portville, New York, and its surrounding areas. They sponsor programs of historical relevance, maintain an office for research assistance and displays, and produce original publications. Ultimately, they hope to assist others in understanding customs, traditions, attitudes, and lifestyles that shaped this rural community from 1800 to the present.
