The prince is under the spell of Ancilla, the Ice Witch, who lives in a castle located east of the sun and west of the moon. There, she schemes to acquire a magic diamond from the Princess of the Long Nose. Her smart-aleck henchman Hob both helps and hinders her. Four trolls do her bidding without speaking a word. Snowdrop is the smart and resourceful one of dim-witted Poppa’s seven daughters.
