It should be a piece of cake for a fairy godmother to tell the story of Snow White but her wand is bent and things aren't going quite as they should. Then, to make things worse, she's interrupted a couple of policemen who are hot on the trail of two very devious and dangerous criminals- children who are causing no end of trouble in the Forest. Winter in the Lumber Camp, Galeton, PA

Visit the Pennsylvania Lumber Museum to try your hand at a variety of outdoor activities. Bring your sled and slide down the hills, make a snowman and then warm-up with some hot drinks in the program room. Instructors will help you learn to use cross-country skis, snowshoes, and ice skates. Equipment provided. At 1 pm enjoy a short guided (snowshoe) hike on the museum’s Sustainable Forestry Trail. Equipment and instruction are free. Museum admission and snacks available for a nominal cost.

Tony Dolan Memorial Ski for Cancer, Bradford, PA

The Tony Dolan Memorial Ski for Cancer benefit is for people of all ages and walks of life to gather for a day of skiing, walking, and fellowship to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. Ski, hike, or snowshoe on the Kinzua Valley Trail, which is a 4.5-mile trail near the Westline Inn. A bonfire will be burning and hot chocolate will be available. Free admission.

Global Movie Screening: Who Will Write Our History

The Eldred WWII Museum will be taking part in the global screening of "Who Will Write Our History" on Holocaust Remembrance Day. The film is a new Holocaust docudrama that tells the true story of the hidden archives of the Warsaw Ghetto and Jewish resisters who fought back with pen and paper. Across the world on a January 27th, movie theaters, churches, mosques, synagogues, universities, museums, and community centers will screen Who Will Write Our History.

Admission is free, but donations are accepted and appreciated. Doors open at 1:30 pm
