Hike 100 Miles to Commemorate 100 Years

Come join us in celebrating 100 years of growth and adventure on the Allegheny National Forest by hiking 100 miles. The Centennial Hiking Challenge will take you to over 100 miles of the best and most beautiful trails we offer. Whether you want to take a peaceful nature walk on a flat, established trail, or trek through a virtually untouched wilderness area far from the noise and congestion of town, these trails all have something unique to offer.

Log the date, trail name and miles hiked. When you complete 100 miles bring your hiking log to the Allegheny National Forest Visitors Bureau or any of the ANF Ranger offices to receive commemorative items, while supplies last. The hiking challenge ends on September 24, 2024.

Coloured Pots: izikhamba kwamaKaladi , by Fileve Tlaloc, Art Exhibition

Opening Reception: February 22 at Noon   Exhibition open 2/22 - 3/22

Fileve Tlaloc’s work speaks to the emotional and physical condition of human struggles between power and peace, injustice and freedom, and the intersections of race, geography, and gender. She is a self-described history nerd and a trained anthropologist with a propensity to capture human existence through the representation of the human body and cultural symbols.

As a multicultural, multinational, and multiracial person, Tlaloc explores various journeys into human identity. Her vision is to create beautiful and intricate paintings, drawings, and ceramic sculptures that inspire people to get to know themselves, others and the world around them.

Musica Spei
For two decades, the vocal ensemble Musica Spei (Music of Hope) has worked collaboratively to bring choral masterworks of the Medieval and Renaissance periods to audiences in western New York. The ensemble’s emphasis and particular specialty is the sacred music of the Middle Ages and Renaissance with forays into related territory. Whether it’s a sacred Mass, Gregorian chant, a motet featuring a single verse of ancient scripture, a lovelorn French chanson, or a Medieval mystery play, Musica Spei has sought to restore life to timeless music that continues to resonate with modern listeners.
