Tue 13th Jun to Mon 23rd Sep | Hike 100 Miles to Commemorate 100 Years Come join us in celebrating 100 years of growth and adventure on the Allegheny National Forest by hiking 100 miles. The Centennial Hiking Challenge will take you to over 100 miles of the best and most beautiful trails we offer. Whether you want to take a peaceful nature walk on a flat, established trail, or trek through a virtually untouched wilderness area far from the noise and congestion of town, these trails all have something unique to offer. Log the date, trail name and miles hiked. When you complete 100 miles bring your hiking log to the Allegheny National Forest Visitors Bureau or any of the ANF Ranger offices to receive commemorative items, while supplies last. Wed 30th Aug 6:00 pm 8:00 pm | Centennial Baseball Game The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service announces the staff of Allegheny National Forest will play an exhibition baseball game against the Jamestown & Area Old Timers Baseball Club. To commemorate the Allegheny National Forest’s Centennial, staff volunteered to play in an exhibition game billed “Smokey Goes to the Ballpark!” Admission is free for this family-friendly event. The first 100 people through the gate will receive a commemorative tote bag.
