Hike 100 Miles to Commemorate 100 Years

Come join us in celebrating 100 years of growth and adventure on the Allegheny National Forest by hiking 100 miles. The Centennial Hiking Challenge will take you to over 100 miles of the best and most beautiful trails we offer. Whether you want to take a peaceful nature walk on a flat, established trail, or trek through a virtually untouched wilderness area far from the noise and congestion of town, these trails all have something unique to offer.

Log the date, trail name and miles hiked. When you complete 100 miles bring your hiking log to the Allegheny National Forest Visitors Bureau or any of the ANF Ranger offices to receive commemorative items, while supplies last. The hiking challenge ends on September 24, 2024.

ANF Centennial GeoTrail
28 ANF Centennial Geocaches will be placed throughout the Allegheny National Forest. (McKean, Warren, Elk, & Forest Counties) Find at least 20 cashes and write down the code word to receive and ANF Centennial Souvenir Token. Passports are free and can be obtained at any ANF office locations or by downloading & printing your own. Tracking available by geocaching.com

Ellicottville Summer Music Festival
The Ellicottville Chamber of Commerce, which produces the three-day music event, has finalized a banger lineup for this year’s slope side concerts at Holiday Valley. Bark Peelers’ Festival
Lumber Museum's BIGGEST event of the year! The festival treats thousands of visitors to lively special events, contests, and demonstrations that celebrate “woodhick” skills. Unique food and craft vendors provide guests with ample shopping and culinary opportunities. There is live music throughout the weekend, crafts and games at the kid’s corner, operating demonstrations of our steam-powered circular sawmill and birch still, blacksmithing, chainsaw carving, and camp cooking.

Escape Room: Don't Go Extinct
Escape the dangers of extinction by solving puzzles while learning about Pennsylvania animals and understanding the importance of endangered species. Groups will be given 45 minutes to solve puzzles and escape from two rooms. Registration is free. Groups can register at the front desk any time before 4pm on the day of the event. 

First come first served basis and space is limited.

Archery
Practice your archery skills in a safe and fun environment! Bridge staff will cover the necessary safety procedures of shooting a bow, as well as the technical skills involved in hitting at target.
