Sun 14th Apr 2:00 pm 3:30 pm | East of the Sun - A Play in Bradford THE PLAY: In two acts, this is the comic, fanciful adaptation of a Norwegian folk tale about young Snowdrop rescuing Prince Nordo from being forced to marry an ugly princess or remain a polar bear in the daytime. The prince is under the spell of Ancilla, the Ice Witch, who lives in a castle located east of the sun and west of the moon. There, she schemes to acquire a magic diamond from the Princess of the Long Nose. Her smart-aleck henchman Hob both helps and hinders her. Four trolls do her bidding without speaking a word. Snowdrop is the smart and resourceful one of dim-witted Poppa’s seven daughters.
