Hike 100 Miles to Commemorate 100 Years

Come join us in celebrating 100 years of growth and adventure on the Allegheny National Forest by hiking 100 miles. The Centennial Hiking Challenge will take you to over 100 miles of the best and most beautiful trails we offer. Whether you want to take a peaceful nature walk on a flat, established trail, or trek through a virtually untouched wilderness area far from the noise and congestion of town, these trails all have something unique to offer.

Log the date, trail name and miles hiked. When you complete 100 miles bring your hiking log to the Allegheny National Forest Visitors Bureau or any of the ANF Ranger offices to receive commemorative items, while supplies last. The hiking challenge ends on September 24, 2024.

ANF Centennial GeoTrail
28 ANF Centennial Geocaches will be placed throughout the Allegheny National Forest. (McKean, Warren, Elk, & Forest Counties) Find at least 20 cashes and write down the code word to receive and ANF Centennial Souvenir Token. Passports are free and can be obtained at any ANF office locations or by downloading & printing your own. Tracking available by geocaching.com

The mushers and sled dogs are back! This time they will be using their “Dry-Land” equipment. The public is invited to Kinzua Bridge State Park to watch this exciting event with demonstrations and timed events - and, of course, the Huskies.

Museum Explorers Activity
Inspired by Vincent van Gogh Art Project

For this activity, you will work to reveal a beautiful illustration inspired by the unmistakable style of Vincent van Gogh (for this session we will create the scene with houses - approximately 8" x 8"). This is a beginner-level art project that includes all of the materials you will need to complete it. Your kit also includes three additional cards to take home and create on your own.

This activity uses a sharp wooden stylus. Recommended for ages 7 and up. Allow approximately 2 hours to complete the project.

Pitt-Bradford Theater Presents - The Wolves
The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford will present “The Wolves,” a Pulitzer Prize finalist about a young women’s soccer team, Nov. 9-12 in the Studio Theater in Blaisdell Hall.

The Wolves” will play at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 9, 10 and 11 and 2 p.m. Nov. 12. Tickets are $6 for the public and $2 for students.
