Hike 100 Miles to Commemorate 100 Years

Come join us in celebrating 100 years of growth and adventure on the Allegheny National Forest by hiking 100 miles. The Centennial Hiking Challenge will take you to over 100 miles of the best and most beautiful trails we offer. Whether you want to take a peaceful nature walk on a flat, established trail, or trek through a virtually untouched wilderness area far from the noise and congestion of town, these trails all have something unique to offer.

Log the date, trail name and miles hiked. When you complete 100 miles bring your hiking log to the Allegheny National Forest Visitors Bureau or any of the ANF Ranger offices to receive commemorative items, while supplies last. The hiking challenge ends on September 24, 2024.

ANF Centennial GeoTrail
28 ANF Centennial Geocaches will be placed throughout the Allegheny National Forest. (McKean, Warren, Elk, & Forest Counties) Find at least 20 cashes and write down the code word to receive and ANF Centennial Souvenir Token. Passports are free and can be obtained at any ANF office locations or by downloading & printing your own. Tracking available by geocaching.com

Taylor Swift Eras Tour Movie
The Kane Family Drive In is happy to announce that you will be able to view the recorded version of the Taylor Swift Eras Tour at the Drive In. 
Show nights will be Friday, October 13
Saturday, October 14
Sunday, October 15
Other dates to follow will be
October 19, 20, 21, 22
October 26, 27, 29, 29
November 2,3,4,5

Showing of the concert will happen rain or shine. Full menu snack bar for the first two weeks. The last 2 weeks we will have popcorn, candy and drinks only.
Adult prices are $19.89
Kids (6-12) are $13.13
Season passes cannot be accepted for this event.
Box office opens at 5:00. Concert starts at 7:00.
Parking for 200 cars. Once that number is reached, we are unable to let any more cars in. Please bring a tie down for your rear deck lid.

Largest Elk to the Smallest Bird
Elk Rely on Grasslands habitat to find all the grasses and forbs they love to eat, but grasslands also support many other species of wildlife. Grasslands are especially important for certain species of songbirds, which as facing population declines across the United States. Join Mercy to learn about how the PA Game Commission manages different types of habitats in Elk Country and how this management helps a wide range of wildlife. Afterwards participate in a trivia game to test your knowledge and win fun habitat-themed prizes.

Hunter Trapper Education Course
This Hunter - Trapper Education Course is a three-day class including a skills day and the test on Saturday. Students must attend all three days to complete the class.  All registrants for this event must be 11 years of age by November 11, 2023. This is a six-hour training class required by law for all first-time hunters and trappers before they can buy a license. You must pass a certification exam at the end of the class to complete this training.
