Tue 1st Jan 10:00 am 12:00 pm | First Day Hike, Kinzua Bridge State Park A "first-day" hike is planned at the Kinzua Bridge State Park on the General Kane Hiking Trail on January 1, beginning at 10 a.m. Enjoy a 1.5-mile moderate walk in the woods. This trail is in the “open to hunting” area, so participants are asked to wear orange hats and vests. Coffee and hot chocolate provided after the walk in the Visitor Center Classroom! Sat 26th Jan | Winter in the Lumber Camp, Galeton, PA Visit the Pennsylvania Lumber Museum to try your hand at a variety of outdoor activities. Bring your sled and slide down the hills, make a snowman and then warm-up with some hot drinks in the program room. Instructors will help you learn to use cross-country skis, snowshoes, and ice skates. Equipment provided. At 1 pm enjoy a short guided (snowshoe) hike on the museum’s Sustainable Forestry Trail.
