Tue 13th Jun to Mon 23rd Sep | Hike 100 Miles to Commemorate 100 Years Come join us in celebrating 100 years of growth and adventure on the Allegheny National Forest by hiking 100 miles. The Centennial Hiking Challenge will take you to over 100 miles of the best and most beautiful trails we offer. Whether you want to take a peaceful nature walk on a flat, established trail, or trek through a virtually untouched wilderness area far from the noise and congestion of town, these trails all have something unique to offer. Log the date, trail name and miles hiked. When you complete 100 miles bring your hiking log to the Allegheny National Forest Visitors Bureau or any of the ANF Ranger offices to receive commemorative items, while supplies last. The KQDC Deer Season Kickoff is FREE and open to the public. Kip Adams is well-known to deer hunters across the Northeastern US because of his previous involvement with the Quality Deer Management Association. Kip’s presentation is entitled, “State of the Whitetail – Trends in Harvest and Management Programs.” Kip will feature interesting tidbits of information comparing deer, harvest, and populations across different states here in the NE US.
