Chainsaw Carvers Rendezvous, Ridgway, PA
Welcome back to Ridgway for the 2023 Chainsaw Carvers Rendezvous. Appalachian Arts Studio will be hosting 75 carvers at The Ridgway Mills, April 26-29 for live carving, food, entertainment, and a small auction. Many carvers will bring finished pieces with them to sell directly. April is going to be perfect weather for the event and you don’t want to miss it. There will be a $5/person gate fee.

Arbor Day Book Talk at the PA Lumber Museum
“Lancaster’s Good Man: John Piersol McCaskey, A Biography:” In 1884, John P. McCaskey organized the first Arbor Day celebrations in Pennsylvania. Join author Dolores Parsil as she explores the life of this beloved educator, politician, editor, and journalist whose love of nature, and belief that children should be exposed to the wonders of the outdoors, helped push legislators to designate a day for the entire state to plant trees.

Allegany State Park Geo-Bash

Allegany State Park Geobash is a geocaching “Mega Event” held every May at Allegany State Park in Southern New York and is attended by approximately 1,000 geocachers each year. The weekend starts with the annual Meet & Greet Bonfire event Friday night hosted by the Allegheny Rangers. On Saturday, the ASP Geobash 2023 event will take place at Camp Allegany. Free Admission.
