Sense the Night at Hearts Content
The Allegheny National Forest is hosting an after hours interpretive hiking experience in the Forest. All ages are invited to participate in a Forest Ranger-led hike. During the hike participants will explore how to use their senses at night, even their vision.

It is recommended that hikers wear appropriate hiking shoes and clothing. Prepare to be wet and/or dirty depending on the weather.

Limited red-lens flash lights will be available, however, it is recommended that participants bring their own.

Hikers are to meet at the Interpretive Trailhead at Hearts Content National Scenic Area off of Hearts Content Road no later than 8:20 p.m. Plan on being on the hike for approximately an hour.

Mt. Jewett Sportsmen’s Club Women Training Day
The Women’s Introduction to Wingshooting program is a national shooting program for women and girls, taught by women. The Ruffed Grouse Society (RGS), Allegheny and Upland Bird Hunt Chapters, and the Mt. Jewett Sportsman’s Club are bringing this national program to Pennsylvania once again this summer. Training will be the afternoons of July 27-28 and August 24-25. Women and girls that finish true shooting course will be eligible for an upland bird hunt on September 8th.


Course cost $125/woman.

Saturday Morning Bird Watching at Kinzua Bridge State Park
Get a chance to see the diverse array of birds that are in the park! Indigo buntings, scarlet tanagers, bluebirds, ruffed grouse, a variety of warblers and many other species of birds have been spotted in the park. Bring a camera for some great photos! There are a limited number of binoculars if you need to borrow a pair. Meet in front of the Visitors Center.

22nd Annual Kids & Cancer Motorcycle Benefit Run, Bradford

Cruise through the beautiful mountains of scenic northwestern Pennsylvania, the Allegheny National Forest. The mapped route includes 120 miles. Registration will be at the Zippo/Case Museum parking lot from 9:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Bikes depart at noon. Pre-Registration is $25 and includes a Kids and Cancer t-shirt and pin. After the ride, there will be a block party and a “Harley of Hope” raffle for a chance to win a 2018 Harley Davison Dyna Softail Low Rider.
