Kinzua Cup Walleye Tournament, Allegheny Reservoir
The Willow Creek Sportsman’s Club is dedicated to enhancing and promoting the Allegheny (Kinzua) Reservoir and tributaries through restoration and conservation. The reservoir is located within the Allegheny National Forest in northwestern Pennsylvania.
This non-profit group of enthusiastic sportsmen who love the outdoors, volunteer their time on projects designed to maintain and promote the beauty and the available fishing opportunities of the Allegheny Reservoir. To highlight the great fishing to be found on the Reservoir they will be hosting the 2022 Kinzua Cup Walleye Tournament.
The 2022 Kinzua Cup Walleye Tournament includes two days of fishing, May 21 & May 22, 2022. The first day is “Big Fish” Day, with prizes for the largest fish, the second day is the Tournament Day.
The Allegheny Reservoir has held state records for both walleye and northern pike. Fishing includes nearly every species an angler would desire walleye, northern pike, trophy class muskie, catfish, crappie, and sauger to name a few.
Volunteer projects completed to date by the Willow Creek Sportsman Club includes creating 500 fish structures in Willow Bay and Sugar Bay. They have also built cribs to protect bait fish. Other volunteer work includes garbage pick up along ten miles of trout streams. The club will be doing a variety of future projects on the Allegheny Reservoir and within the Allegheny National Forest to enhance and give back to the natural resources of the Allegheny Reservoir.
Willow Bay is located approximately 20 minutes driving time west of Bradford, PA.
