Longtime Favorite Shopping Destination – New Location

America’s First Christmas Store, first opened in 1932, by Leonard Brynolf Johnson, has reopened in a new location within Old Time Smethport, 113 W. Water Street, Smethport, PA. The shop is decorated with the original custom-made lawn displays painted by his brother Herb Johnson. This includes the jolly elf himself, Santa in his sleigh, with his full team of reindeer, including Rudolph, with his nose so bright.
 
A massive Christmas tree decorated entirely with Old World Christmas ornaments greets you upon entering. Christopher Radko ornaments from Poland, and Fontanini Nativities crafted in Italy, other trees include one decorated entirely in red and white ornaments.
 

In addition to tree ornaments the shop is brimming with seasonal home decorations, including snow globes, handcrafted country Christmas cutouts, beautiful Fenton lamps, Christmas mugs, and decorative Santa figurines.
