Space-Themed Education & Simulation

Mission to Mars – Explore, Discover, Teach

The Dresser-Rand Challenger Learning Center, 182 East Union Street, Allegany, New York, is a space-themed facility with educational programs designed to stimulate interest in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) through hands-on experiences and simulations tied to classroom learning and team-building.

You too can take part in a Mission to Mars with an assignment in the “Space Station” or in “Mission Control”. You may have to monitor space storms, assemble a satellite system, or be assigned to Communications, Navigation, Probe, Life Support, or the Medical Team.

Simulated missions require a minimum of 16 to a maximum of 30 participants. The Center has programs and missions for Kindergarten to adults.

The Challenger Learning Center also offers team building activities – for example, “The Great Rocket Design Challenge”.

Tours of the center are offered by appointment only.

Please call to set up your group tour – “A Mission to Mars.”
